So we are in a drought…Rain is welcome…BUT we are building a house…which until we get our roof on means that rain, it’s not really what we want to see. So I was happy to wake up to no rain today. As I was preparing breakfast, I looked out my kitchen window and saw this. I showed the boys, and then grabbed my camera, donned my rainboots and ran up to the lot to capture this! I am sure the guys working on ours thought I was crazy, still in my pjs snapping photos of the clouds…you know a typical 7am occurrence:-)
This was a welcome site in the midst of hard nights, nights which seem as if they should be fun and festive, but as I have mentioned are hard and filled with angst. It’s always a sweet reminder to wake up and know, today is a new day, full of new grace, new hearts, and new mercies. I wake up knowing today can be different, and it gives me hope.
