Daniel got a kite for Christmas this year.  He was SO excited!  But, we haven’t had a chance to fly it very much!  Our schedules and the wind’s schedule ween’t the same.  But today was WINDY!  SO after work Tom took the boys up to our neighbors hill (they just happened to be doing the same thing:-)) and flew Daniel’s kite.  The kite is really nice, but really hard to fly so Tom does most if not ALL of the kite flying.  BUT thankfully the boys love being the “launchers” and just chasing and watching the kite:-)  I was SO glad I finished my work SO I could join in the fun!

I asked Tom if he could maneuver the kite so I could get it in the shot;-)  Yes I do that!  He was able to do it!  But the kite almost lost flight after that!150402Spring_04_Blog150402Spring_06_Blog

Just in case you don’t know Holden he is IN LOVE with flight, airplanes, well many things, BUT airplanes and flying definitely are at the top!  His knowledge of flying and airplanes, and the history of them has FAR surpassed mine.  I should probably study them, but I just let him tell me:-)150402Spring_11_Blog150402Spring_12_Blog150402Spring_10_Blog

THIS guy is obsessed with anything Holden like for the most part.  And everything Holden says is true in his mind.  He sure is cute, and he likes anything that is a puzzle, strategy, or involves running:-)150402Spring_09_Blog

After the wind died down we headed home.  We are SO blessed to be able to use the property we are on now, and our property next door as a park:-)  I love that the kids can run and explore right in their own backyard.  I just have to get over my fear of rattlesnakes:-)150402Spring_13_Blog

This morning I woke the house up when I saw a beautiful red fox walking our property.  So before dinner we did a little temporary chicken run securing:-)  So far we haven’t lost any, but the fox was roaming towards these girls, and I didn’t want to take a chance!150402Spring_14_Blog

Such a beautiful Spring Day!

Happy Spring!  This week was So beautiful outside!  But some of us, mainly me were stuck inside sick STILL!  I am over it!  We had new doors, crafting, plants blooming, chickens roaming, boys getting dirty:-)  AND I made homemade chicken soup to kick this sickness to the curb! We are getting ready for Tom’s birthday too;-) AND Spring Break!LSP365_12

10 weeks into 2015, and I am SO thankful I took on this challenge, the photos I take of my family are being edited and shown!  It may not be the blogging I used to do but I know at the end of the year I will have images and a book that will tell a little of the story of our days.   Days that will pass too quickly and blur if we don’t stop and notice!  This week we had fun, wrote scriptures inside the walls of our new house before insulation and drywall come, AND I was SICK!  YUCK! It is hard to take pics when you barely get out of bed, but I tried! Enjoy!LSP365_10

It’s the first week of MARCH, the third month of the year! Can you believe it?  I keep saying that but seriously the weeks go by so fast!  Since it is the first week of the month, it is also the week that my life|stop photography blog is dedicated to the LightBox Stories Blog Circle, please go check it out if you haven’t already!

This week we went to a marriage conference with Francis + Lisa Chan, my orchids continued to bloom, I participated in a color photography challenge AND our floors were finished in the new house!LSP365_9

You were whining about something so I threatened to take your picture, this is what I got:-)

We went to a marriage conference this weekend, like none we have ever been to.  It was fantastic, I know we were both convicted and encouraged.  Mostly it was about looking outside yourselves, having an eternal view of life and marriage, which really means staying close to and keeping your eyes on God and His mission for your lives. I mean who tells you NOT to work on your marriage:-)  But like I said it was great!  I can’t wait to read their book, You and Me Forever.365_59_Blog

LOVE this man and my boys SO much!  I love to participate in snuggle time, but sometimes it’s just as awesome to witness it:-)  He was pretending to be asleep because he was SO tired!365_60_Blog

I DO NOT have a green thumb, especially when it comes to house plants!  But my friend gave me this beautiful orchid, and I dutifully followed the instructions, AND it bloomed again!  It currently has 8 flowers on it and 2 more buds!  SO beautiful!

I am part of a photography group called life{unscripted}, this month they are having a color challenge, we were supposed to photograph our favorite color, and then collage it:-)  I chose two colors, orange and purple, it was SO fun to roam around and find these colors and then vignette them:-)365_62_Blog

Some more of the color challenge:-)  LOVE my purple jacket and orange cup!365_63_Blog

Our floors were finished this week!  After they finished curing we headed out with our sample board and checked our color selections.  It is now time to start finishing the inside!  First insulation, then drywall, paint and finishes!  It feels like it is getting closer:-)365_64_Blog
