Some people end the DPP at Christmas, I usually go until the end of the year, BUT I missed some days this year so here are random pics I took after Chrsitmas!

This was my last session of the year, what a fun way to end the business year!  It was a busy and full year, I LOVE what I do!
DPP2014_30bwMy parents came on December 27, we of course went bowling with them as its one of the kids favorite things to do when they visit:-)  This guy had fun, he didn’t care if he knocked down 10 or none, he was there to have fun!
DPP2014_32bwThis guy on the other hand wanted to WIN!  And was VERY upset when he couldn’t beat the adults!
DPP2014_33bwAND we ended the year by getting the water hooked up to our site!  It’s been a great year, with it’s share of challenges, and as always we are looking forward to the new adventures ahead!

DPP2014_29bwThere WILL be a FULL Christmas post, but for now you get my Photo of the day:-)  I made this SUPER yummy Black Forest Hot Cocoa on Christmas morning.  Black Forest Cake is one of my FAVORITES!  The boys liked it as well.  We also had candy cane pancakes:-)  I guess I was making up for the lack of cinnamon rolls, because as you recall, I gave up Christmas Baking!

You might be asking what is this beautiful kitchen?  Well, we stole away to my in laws house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day since they were out of town, and we could have a simple little getaway.  Seriously it felt like we were in a hotel, a spacious hotel where I got to cook in a fancy kitchen;-)

Last year we decorated with snowflakes, we even tried some StarWars ones, those were hard.  So this year as soon as the Christmas stuff came out Holden wanted to make snowflakes and he did.  Then his teacher had them make snowflakes in class using markers and coffee filters so he wanted to teach Daniel to do that and they did:-)  BUT our markers washed out when we sprayed them, so we were disappointed.  Next we tried sharpie…those didn’t work either, the marker didn’t spread at all.  The daddy in our house may have blamed mommy unjustly for buying “recycled” coffee filters.  I did not. Usually I would, but I didn’t.

Finally on Christmas Eve I saw a pin for watercolored snowflakes, these were a hit!  I LOVE how they turned out, and the boys cranked out a good number:-)  Creative fun, and attention getting…win-win!  I would TOTALLY link to the pin…but now I have forgotten where I saw it! Sorry!

DPP2014_27Tonight we had our good friends over for dinner…Indian food, YUM! And of course it got late and we still wanted to chat, SO we loaded up a Magic School bus video and at some point we looked over and saw this…Buddies, I hope my kiddos are always willing to play with younger littles that come over.  They have had a great example of that in their life, so I hope it carries over!

I am so thankful for good friends!  It was such a fun night! A GREAT way to start the Christmas Holiday, Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, I can hardly believe it!

DPP2014_26After last night’s worship service, we headed back to our friend’s house (they are also our neighbors, we live on their property while we build next door!)  They had everything set up to  make Christmas Cookies, which was SO fun, since I had declared earlier in the month, no Christmas baking was going to happen in my kitchen until we move!  It’s too much for me to handle.  SO the kids got the fun of baking and decorating cookies, AND I got to keep my sanity!

And THANK GOODNESS for friends who make us take a family picture! I was snapping away at the evening, but would have never thought to ask for a picture, BUT I love this one!  It is the only one where Holden doesn’t have his tongue out!  Just to keep it real:-)
